Before and After ***Pictures***of our first egg

Our 20 week old Barred Rock hen named Oprah layed the first egg of the flock today. My children came home from school and rushed down to spend time with the chickens like always. My DD came right back up to the house with a huge smile on her face she held out her glove and pulled the egg from it. Both children said "its soo cute" then in the next breath they said "can we eat it for snack? They devoured it while proclaiming "its the best thing they've ever had.
