Before I rebuild, what would yall do differently?

Yes, it should be fine. Roosts should be at least 12" from the wall and from any windows anyway.

Oh yeah, their roosts (plenty of them btw) are in the middle of coop. The coop is big, so way more than 12” from walls. They’re crazy chickens, they have a main roost they love but want another roost to get on said roost, even though they can “fly” up to loved roost. And another connected roost to turn around on, because..idk why. Spoiled and picky??

You know I’m crazy about that chicken!! His comb looks intact to me though, has it just not completed the frostbite? Or his just a mild case?

Nice article, you mentioned coating combs/wattles might help prevent frostbite, with what? Vaseline or something similar?

Nov, 2021.. he was 7 months old. He looks better now...

He's 3 this year. But your right he lost more every winter, I just posted a pic of him at 7 mos.
