Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
Your girls could be getting up in age.
I always feed 20% protein and that seems to be helping my girls stay laying during their first molt.
Fake eggs in the box don't encourage laying for established hens. They show pullets a good place for laying and encourage broodiness in established layers on occasion.

Is it unusual to have 18 hens laying 4 eggs a day. Can they molt this bad in late summer. Help, my egg business is going to close!
