Does anyone else have begging chickens? My Silkies are in the house at the moment and their house cage is on the bar the seperates the kitchen and living room.(so they can see the tv and what we are doing) Everytime I open the fridge the perk up! They have seen me take grapes out so I thought maybe that was the reason but I was pouring a glass of Kool Aid last night and they got excited and while I was making dinner they were giving me this pitful little "Is that for us?" look! It's really sad but hilarious at the same time. They must have learned it from the dog!

Cmon, they didnt learn it from the dog, they are born with that look. Wait until you move them outside and they can look in at you when it is raining. THEN you will see a begging pleading look LOL.

I don't think I could fight it then. "Oh, it's raining? Come on in little ones, I'll make cocoa and we can watch Chicken Run." <-------- That is exactly what is gonna happen. Guess I'd better invest in some chicken diapers!

Ever seen the movie "Finding Nemo"? There's a scene where all the seagulls see a crab and one says, "mine?" then all the birds are going "mine mine mine mine mine".

DBF says "mine?" any time the chooks beg. Silly moochers!

My Ameracuans don't like to be handled, probably because because of their dispositions and the fact that I had to clip their wings. However, they do run to the front door whenever they think that there's food to be had. They love to eat coconuts and anything else as long as they don't have to eat from my hand.
