Beginer quail questions

I am getting a few coturnix and button quail next weekend and have a few questions.

1. I've read button quail are monogamous so they only breed in pairs correct?
2. How big a cage would you use for a breeding harem of coturnix quail consisting of no more than 8 birds? (1roo-4-7 hens)
3. What age to quail begin to lay?

2. Sorry, I don't know the answer and I am not going to make one up.

3. Many start laying at 8 weeks 9 (at least for buttons)

Coturnix need 1 square foot per bird ...for 8 birds a 2 x4 should work

coturnix start laying around 8 - 9 weeks.. some people says they start at 6 but is not always accurate.

1 roo to 7 birds may be ok

but if you want higher fertility , you should do 1 roo to 4 hens
