Hi everyone,
My name is Kristin, I and my husband are new to the incubating process and realized with the failure of our first batch of chicks that there is more to it than we realized. I joined because the support and tips that this community can offer could mean the difference between failure and success for my bantam silkies. I love this breed and have 5 that my mother-in-law gave me from an incubation batch before. They are great but I'm quickly learning that its harder without a brooder hen because the three hens that I haven't started sitting yet. Any tips on how to encourage them to?? Do I need to take the hens and separate them from the roosters? My goal with the support of your guys is to have a healthy strong flock. I want to proud of my flock. I can't wait to learn the in's and outs.
