Beginner Question about Incubating

If you get the LG make sure you keep it in a room that keeps a pretty constant temperature and humidity or you will have spikes as the room heats or cools off. Search in the threads here about "Dry incubation method" this works well for me with 90-95% hatch rates.

I keep mine in the basement because the temperature is usually around 70-75f and a good humidity.

Thank you to everyone on this site!! Every question that I have ever asked has always been answered and everybody has been so helpful!!

Moving on...... I am going to TSC today and purchase the incubator! I will set it up and let it run for a few days to get everything settled...Now comes my question (yes more questions

) I think the bator that I am getting holds 20 chicken eggs, I really would like to start with just a few like 5 or 10 eggs. Does it matter having all that empty space in the bator? Should I put something in there to take the place of the empty spaces?

I'm also new to Hatching eggs.

I got LG. I have 6 Ducks in right now and will add 6 chicken eggs this weekend.

I never thought of the empty space I would like to know that also.

Hope you don't mind me jumping in here.
