beginner with pheasants

I use to go also, but over the years the variety of birds has dwindled.Use to be able to get young impeyans full grow in size but young for 35.00 each.I went home with 4 one year along with a pair of swinhoes, and a pair of w,c kalij and I spent like 240.00 for all of them.I think Don Hungsinger and Bill Llyod are the only ones bringing the different breeds of pheasants. They have excellent lines to boot.
I just can't take the 7 1/2 hour drive for goldens and Amherst. If they ever start bringing tragopans and impeayns back maybe I would take the road trip. The last time I went they had a weird ice storm, driving was good until we hit the Batavia exit and we had to take the exit before. The next morning when we went to the auction, wow what devastation from the ice.

If you are looking for pheasants, the selection is not as nice as the ducks. I mean if you are looking for ruffed pheasants, then you will find what you want. But there are some cool birds like last auction there was a peacock pheasant. Impeyans have been there the past few times.
