Hi, I'm very new to raising chickens. I've always wanted them, but never had the opportunity to have any, now I do. I have turned an old four stall horse barn into a chicken house. I went to a local animal swap and came across two american game pullets, and I was given a white leghorn rooster by a neighbor. I'm hoping they will turn out good egg laying hens that will be broody. I'm planning on getting some brown leghorns, and some rir in the spring. Any advice or tips about anything would be greatly appreciated. I would really like to hear some opinions on breeding the white leghorn rooster to the game hens.
