Hello!
I am new (& now addicted) to the world of chickens! I have a little guy who seems to be developing what looks like cross beak? He/she is a silkie and 11 days old! Is there anything I can do to prevent this from getting worse? Thanks :)

Hi @Silkie-lover :frow Welcome To BYC

What little cutie pie!
It does look like there's a beak deformity. I don't know of a way you can prevent it from getting worse. Someone else may have some ideas.
Cross beak is usually genetic, sometimes it can be due to incubation problems.
A lot of people do keep their cross beak chickens for pets and enjoyment (no breeding)
and accommodate them by offering wet feed, deeper dishes to eat/drink out of, trim or file the beak when it's needed, etc.
There's no way to know if it will get worse as s/he gets older, it could become more pronounced or stay just slightly crooked.
