beginning the construction of my coop

So I'm in the process of building my very first chicken coop it's 5x4. This is just the beginning, after about 5 hours of work, I'm hoping to have it done in a few weeks. Tomorrow I will be painting the inside and we will be putting in the ventilation and windows. We are building this from lumber and plywood we have found around the house.

Almost nearing completion. Still got over a month till my chicks come home so plenty of time to make sure I get their home right.

got so much more done. Almost done painting, one more coat tomorrow than I have to do all the trim in white (I started painting it brown than changed my mind so have to cover up some brown trim). We have to get the roof on than make the roof and nest box water proof than we'll attach the roosts and start on the run. We're making the top part a sliding glass window for ventilation so that isn't put in yet.

Got my coop done, now just waiting for it to warm up so I can put chickens in it.
