Beginnings of bumblefoot or am I paranoid?

Daisy only walks on hardwood floors,my bed/dog pillows, or shavings in her bed. I am paranoid of her getting bumblefoot so checking her feet is an ongoing thing I do when I sand her nails down.
I noticed this last night, I do a feet check about once a week when I do her nails.

If it is just beginng, what can I do to ensure it doesn't progress?

Thanks!

It does look a little worrisome, maybe right before bed rub some neosporin or triple antibiotic on the red places. Nothing with pain killer ending in caine. and then give her a big kiss for me

Thank you Miss L!
I will get that on the way home today! Should I start just wrapping her feet in Vet wrap too or will that be going overboard?

& I'll get her that big kiss for ya too!

you might want to put a piece of gauze over it and then lightly wrap just over night so the bedding doesn't stick to it. Probably won't take more than 2-3 days for it to clear up. Wonder why this would be going on since she isn't walking on rough surfaces?

I wish I knew hun. I know she has got to be one of the most pampered little ducks.

She sleeps on my bed at night, really the only time shes standing on shavings is while I'm at work when she's in her house & they are very soft shavings & a blankie. I can't imagine how real ducks keep from getting it if she getting problems.

ducks feet are just tender, hard compacted surfaces increase chances of bumble. most ducks are in ponds, pools, and on grass. When they spend more time on hard packed areas or rocks you see an increase in Bumble. Keep an eye on it, it could be red from being a pressure point and walking on the wood floors.

I have been rubbing into her feet A & D ointment & Neosporin & then she has been wearing her baby socks. I have noticed the redness getting pale, but I just keep treating her feet. I need to make her some shoes or find some cheap ones to order.
