Behavior, is it ok? If not, what do I do

I have been following the advice. I still sometimes set down. I have to set down at times cause of health issues. But I am in a chair that has me taller than him. I do not let him get close enough to touch me. I put my hand out and he moves off. I also have put out my leg and foot and he moves off. I have bumped him a couple times with my foot if he was too close. Made sure he did move away.

When standing, I have made sure he did not come up close enough to touch me. A few times I have sensed him right behind me, so I moved my leg/foot behind me (like a gentle version of a horse kick) and bumped him. He moved off plenty fast and then I turned around and made him move off more.

He has stopped quite a bit of earlier behavior. He will "try" once in a while, but that is happening less often.

He also is displaying his feathers (fluffed out, tail up and fanned out) less when around me.

I had two Blue Slate toms that I couldn't break, even with a stick! They were yummy!
