Behavior of Baby Chicks Seems Weird

So I have a group of 10 baby chicks, and they have been together since they were born. The weird things that they are doing and none of my past group of baby chickens have ever done. Starting with: laying in one huge pile with either laying on top of one's head or even the neck (scares me so much); when one flaps it's wings everyone else either gets mad at the chick or starts to flap there wings; the run all together and chicken piles onto one another at the other end of the cage. I do not think this is normal for baby chicks, because none of my past groups of baby chicks did this. So I be a little bit worried that I might have a lot of roosters in this group or it is just how they act together.

Wanting to make sure that they will be able to blend well with my other flock when they get old enough to spend time and not get out of the cage.

How old are they?

Are they on supplemental heat?
Are they inside the house or out in a grow out coop?
How many adult birds will they be integrated with?

They are right now between the ages of 4 weeks to 6 weeks old. They are on supplemental heat but I have them inside my coop storage building which gets up to the temperature they need through the day so I turn off the heat lamp in the morning and open up a window to have air flow through. I will turn the heat lamp back on around 7:00 PM. I have right now 1 rooster and 3 hens, I would of had more to integrated but I was losing them to old age and respiratory illness (got that under control). I am just hoping that there will be no problems with integrated them into the old flock.

With 10 going in and a small older group I think it will be easier.

They are making a "chick pile". Most groups of young chicks will do it. No worries that someone will be squished to death. At their age they are strong enough to move if getting mushed.
It actually is quite normal.
