Ok so I’m on my 2 year with my girls but 1 seems to be keeping to herself she’s molting her feathers galore for this winter but she won’t roam the yard with the rest she stays in coop area not her norm she usually is all over so any ideas? I’ve checked her out but find nothing

Molting is a stress, and birds become ornery/solitary when molting. She should be fine.

Have had a few that isolated for a day or three during molt, they perked back up some after that.

I thought my salmon faverolle was sick because she was acting so off. Turns out, another girl was beating up on her because she was molting. I've brought her inside, in a dog crate. I've raised the protein content of her feed, and she's doing fine. I take her out to the run with the others most days, and stick around long enough to be sure CJ doesn't abuse her. I've swatted her away several tines, and she's doing much better about that. I bring the molting pullet in at roost time.
