A few years ago i had three pigeons i cared for for seven months. They were burned on the electric pole outside my house. Rescue had them one week. I had them seven months while they regrew skin and feathers. They all flew away. I learned a lot from caring for them. Most important to be prepared for emergencies with eye salves, antibiotics, silvadene for burns, deworming meds, vitamins, etc. So after our chicks came home i began compiling a stock of supplies like net catchers, blu kote veteryin sprays, betadine, septic powder, etc. As you know most emergencues happen at night and on weekends. Antibiotics and meds are important to have around. I was thrilled to find that now new england pigeins has chicken supplies https://www.nepigeonsupplies.com . I ordered some meds just to have in case of colds or injuries or attacks. Tractor supply is limited in bird antibiotics, so with winter here i feel better having some around hoping to never need them.
