Belated hello..!

Nothing fancy to tell...

I've had chookies for over 10 years--small flocks of 6 to 10. Right now I have five very spoiled golden sex-links. Good eggs; bratty birds. Fair trade-off.

I've had Barred Rocks and banties in the past. We had a BR rooster who'd perch on the fence--watching his women-folk or guarding against bad guys, I guess!

I ran across the site while researching; never signed up until recently. I'll pop in now & then, and hope I can answer the occasional question.

What else? Us, dogs, cats...the occasional owl or kite hoping to snack on a critter (not the chooks though!)

I kind of swing back and forth every few years when it's time to replenish our small flock, going from focusing on egg production (usually sex links) to chickens with other admirable characteristics, and then back again.
