~Belgian bantam pics! Show off dem chicks! (Belgian Bantam pic thread)~

Adorable! :D
Aren’t they?
Beautiful! Do you struggle with that brownish undertone that the blues get in their feathers?
No. Just as they are about to molt out they will get a brownish undertone, but that doesn’t bother me. Blue Andalusians are gold-based, so they actually will get the undertone as well. Splash males are unshowable, as they have brass in the hackle, but the pullets are fine, not that it matters anyways, since they weren’t added to the standard. I think that’s why splash Andalusians will never be added to the Standard, they’re none too attractive. Here you can see a picture (not mine) of an (admittedly poor) Andalusian molting, but it serves my point.

I see what you mean. Not the most attractive in my opinion ..but to each their own I suppose.

Finally got some good pictures of my d'Ucclea and d'Anvers.

The blue quail and the black are both d'Anvers. The little Colombian patterned one is a mix of a almost split silver male and mille fleur female d'Uccle. The others are Mille Fluers. The little buff/brown next to the blue quail (Pip) is Squeak, 'her' EE daughter - already bigger than her mother at almost 4 months! XD
