Here's a couple of pics involving the 7 week olds. (10 week olds weren't cooperating) Just weighed a couple of the 10 week old roos. Biggest one is 4 lbs 10 oz & another is 4 lbs 4 oz.

Theres a good colouring difference between the two lines... excited to see them grown to compare and interesting to see what the mutts will end up looking like!

Here are some recent pics of the older crew & their first progeny. I have 2 different ages of chicks living together - 7 & 10 week olds in the grow-out coop & they've started foraging/free ranging with the nice weather.![]()
I have noticed the roosters & hens pay no mind to the little ones, other than a single peck to respect their elders.I've had a RIR rooster in the past that picked up a young chick & tossed it. Not a lot of drama with Malines. Love that!![]()
