The one we named Chandler is a beardless girl, which I’d not seen before! She’s the overly buff one. I think I’m going to bring home a blue quail rooster in a couple weeks to make some babies!

I'm no expert but it looks to me like she has a beard but no muffs, the muffs being the cheek parts and the beard being under the beak. I could be wrong though! Hopefully someone with a bit more experience will chime in.

I learned from Kristen’s BBDA newsletter that both BBDAs and Watermaals can flatten their beard and muffs when nervous…and now I totally see it every time they get brought out to hold Silly girls!

For what it's worth it's made me do a double take too thinking I somehow changed it to a flower it's one of the reasons I've kept it

I did too! Very interesting. Beards and muffs can't be inherited separately, though.
