Bellybutton issues??

I have a little baby that hatched last night and he is bright and alert and super cute but there is something coming from his belly it is hard and brown (completly dry). When I moved it over to look where it was coming from there was a little hole. Do I need to snip it off and put antibiotics on? Help!

Nope--don't worry about it. It's just his little dry umbilicus--just like a newborn human's. It will dry up and drop off on its own. If he's bright and happy and busy, he's fine.
