I have lost one chicken 3 months ago to mareks, despite taking to vet and all. Now the most beloved rooster NEMO is showing similar symptoms and dont know what to do. hens look really confused without Nemo and my daughter is crying her heart out.
All I could think of now is to share it with you guys and maybe a few nice words or shared stories will make my 10yro daughter feel a bit better.
Also any advice on how to keep the remaining three hens safe from this disease? We have a lot of wild birds vising out backyard including cockatoos, pigeons, lorikeets etc and sharing chicks food and water. how do I avoid contact with wild birds?

Ohhh...I'm so sorry to hear that..

I recently (2 weeks ago) had to have one of mine put to sleep at the vets due to Mareks and I'm so afraid the other 3 will start to show symptoms. It was so heartbreaking to go through. I'm sorry you are going through this. What signs is Nemo showing? Mine started with limping which led to paralysis. You must live in a warm tropical area if you have cockatoos and lorikeets visiting! I wish I could give you some advice on how to keep the others from getting it, just wanted to say I understand
