Hey there,
Looked at one of my chickens today and she had a large, soft area below her vent. Seems like it is something from inside that has softened up and is hanging.
Gave her an Epsom salt bath and wiped her down, no behavioral oddities.
What does she have, and should I be concerned?

Is the skin still covering that or is that the interior abdominal wall. Has it been punctured anywhere or is it leaking fluid? Keep her separated on a soft towel for bedding. Let us know what it looks like now. Chickens can have hernias, fluid, or internal egg masses from salpingitis that may cause enlargement. I haven’t seen this though. Make sure there is no sign of maggot infestation from fly strike.

The skin is still covering, no puncture or fluid. All seems to be internal.
I'll try to get a picture soon, she seems to be doing fine, walking around with the others and foraging well. I'll look for anything else that could give a clue!

I dont know what it is, but you should be concerned I think. Not helpfull, but probably important. Dont put her back with the flock.
