I ended up with 8 Beltsville poults. They think that I am their mama, lol. When I go to the brooder and start talking to them they all run to the end of the brooder where I am. It is just 2 cute. The first one hatched on the 4th of July so I named it "Freedom" I think it is a tom because when I put the rest of the poults in the brooder he dropped his tiny wings and was strutting, lol. I am currently awaiting the arrival of 120 Texas A&M quail eggs.

I love the name freedom! Do you have a picture?

You are waiting for a lot of quail eggs:)

Yes, I do have a pic :-) I got my quail eggs yesterday and they are in the incubator. I started out with 24 Beltsville eggs, 2 were broken when I got them, 9 hatched but then 1 died :-( So I have 8 poults. They are all doing wonderful. They eat like little piglets, lol. The feeder and water both have bright red bases and they are attracted to them. I also have a mayo jar lid full of feed, which I had to refill 2 times yesterday and once this morning, lol. Below is a pic of Freedom.
