Bent toes ?

My second button quail hatched yay but she has flat feet. It her toes are bent flat side ways ? I watched some videos but wasn’t sure about it at all my first time

I've never done anything as small as a quail so hopefully others who have handled it with quail will chime in with a good way to do itty bitty feet. The sooner you fix it the better it will turn out. I cut a foot outline out of a band-aid box and used vetwrap to secure each toe into as normal a position as possible. The vetwrap on the bottom gives them a good grip so they don't slide around.

I had a chicken with one bent looking toe on either side, it didn’t look good to me either but she lived and walked just like everyone else in the flock. The reason I’m using past tense words is because we decided to butcher our older chickens which included her.

Im pretty sure it shouldn’t be any different with quail, but I’m no expert with quail.

Apologies on the gap in time. The ones I've fixed (chicks not quail) have straightened up within a day. How did your little do?
