How come they're laced almost only on the wings and tails so black at same time? Do these have or lack genes involved in single lacing- Db, Pg, Ml etc..?

Would it be possible to introduce Hackle Black or other genes to color in the hackles and saddles of the rooster? An all black bird with clean crisp lacing only on the wings could be an eye catching bird.. make the wing pattern on that rooster stand out even more.

I am sure it would be possible, and would improve the neck lacing but I doubt I will ever get my hands on these.
