besides GMOs why corn free?

Having fresh eggs is wonderful!  Right now, I am missing it as I am actually in the waiting stages too...we moved this past year and had to leave our old flock and coop behind.  We are now settled into a new house and our new chicks are two weeks old now.  :)

We moved this past year also and we now finally have the room to do this. Before, all we had was a half a lot in the middle of the city. Now we have 1.3 acres out in the country bordering state game lands and surrounded by farm land. We feel like we're living the dream now lol

We actually started with scratch and peck soy and corn free and really love it but we have to ship it from WA to PA. It's just not realistic for us to keep it up but it's a great product :)

I'm currently shipping scratch and peck to PA myself and it is EXPENSIVE!! Do you mind telling me the name of the local organic mill you are buying from in PA? Might make sense for me too. I only have 4 hens so it's not too bad to ship a bag here now and then, but I'd also love to support local organics!
