I have decided to dive into the world of hatching my eggs I have several different color bantam Cochins patterns/colors and my ever so inquisitive 4 yo wants to know what Cochin a and Cochin b babies will look like and why so we decided why. It give it a whirl! I don't need a huge incubator I'd like something that holds anywhere between 12 and 20 eggs and I don't want to spend over. $150 if possible. So what brands does everyone love? Educate me please! Lol we have always ate the eggs so I hVe no idea where to start! Thanks in advance!

Go to a place that sells used appliances and make one out of an old wine cooler. You can put the little turners from the little giant incubator in them and the already provided shelves.

I made one for about 150 bucks give or take 10 bucks.

Plenty of plans out there. I have mine getting 80-100% hatches this go around. They also look pretty good and can be put in the house and they don't look like an incubator, so you can put it in the corner of the living room and looks just fine.

Let me know if you would like to know more about it.

Yes I would please! I am all about DIY and I had thought about making one but didn't know where on earth to start

I have a Hovabator with an auto turner and fan that I have used for 8 years with no problems. I have had a Little Giant as well without the turner and although I only used it half dozen times it worked well. I got the Hovabator and turner on an auction for $126.
