Best and worst Christmas presents?

I have not heard of fake pimples before. What will they think of next?

My favorite gift this year was listening to the kids and grandkids play Kids Against Maturity. They laughed and had such a great time, which gave me so much joy and happiness.

My husband and I have a running joke at this point about the game pinochle. It's a card game he played as a kid with his family but I was unfamiliar. He would bring it up constantly and say we should all learn how to play but we never did. Now he will randomly throw the word 'pinochle' into random conversations just to vex me.
So for Christmas he gave me two pinochle decks.

Pinochle is our family's most go to game. Not me so much, I can't remember the cards very well or gauge the probabilities. That might not be needed as much in other families but dh can remember every card and tried to show me the difference three plays later of playing "that" one instead of "this" one. When I play, they enjoy the unpredictableness. Or so they say. I love my family!

Anyway, it is fun.

This week I was listening to my son in law teach my son some of the finer points of strategy in dominoes as it is played in the Islands. I hadn't realized how much strategy is in that too.

We get each other little things throughout the year. Christmas budget is put into the kids and family/friends. There's simply not enough to go around, ya know?
