Best aviary no waste feeder?

Just wondering what everyone uses for feeders. I have small ports in some medium sized totes set on bricks. All was good for the first week or two but somehow some of them have figured out how to beak out the crumbles anyway.

I hate waste.

I have two like this, with ports in each side and currently set up on bricks.

Maybe I should remove the bricks? Not sure if the increase in waste is correlated with raising the feeders up a bit.

I took the bricks out and will see if that makes any difference.

I hadn’t changed bedding in my quail pen for six months, we’d occasionally throw in some or remove wet spots but I just did a thorough cleaning and hauled out 75 gallons of stuff (originally put in 1 40# beg horse bedding pellets). I think half of it was spilled feed! I jury rigged some ice cream pails with spice jar ‘ports’ and they still would just strew half of it around the pen. A couple days ago I got some pvc fixtures and glued them in the buckets instead, so far they look promising, bedding is certainly cheaper than feed so I’m hoping this works! Hope yours does too!
