New England.. the cold part.
All of our bantams died this winter. The weather was strange, and would slowly rise, then sharply fall. all of our chicken deaths were bantams, and coincided with a severe cold snap (like -18)... my kids want tiny chickens again, but I'm hesitant.. are there any tiny bantams that can withstand the cold?

How about cochins? They have lots of feathers on their legs and are just fluffy all over. I ordered some standards this year and their personalities are just fantasic. They adore my 4 year old daughter. I think you can also get Buff Orpingtons in bantam size. Another very fluffy breed. Good luck!!

My bantam SLWs did well this past winter.....and we got down to -20 one time. They handled the up and down weather better than my large fowl.
