BEST BEDDING FOR VERY YOUNG CHICKS

I WANT TO KNOW IF I CAN USE PAPER TOWEL CHANGED EVERY COUPLE OF HOURS.
ALSO CAN I USE A 20 GALLON TANK WITH A SCREEN LID AS A BROODER FOR 2 CHICKS.
THE DEMENTIONS FOR A TWENTY GALLON TANK IS 30IN BY 13IN AND 13IN TALL.

The paper towels will work fine and are super easy to clean/replace.

Remember with the heat lamp you want to have one side of the tank warm and the other side cooler so the chicks can adjust their own body temp. If you decide to use the 20 gal make sure the temperature range is available to them and consider using a dimmer switch for the lamp along with a thermometer to monitor the temps.

The tank should work for 2 tiny chicks but they grow fast, in a few weeks expect they will need more room. At that point a larger cardboard box or converted dog kennel can work well.
 
I wanted the tank so that they don't squeeze there little bodys through or get stuck in the bars of my rabbit cage. when they get too big for that they will just wonder my room in chicken diapers i made then at night ill take it off and put them in a large rabbit cage. Then at 4 weeks of age they will be moved to a large coop out side 10ft by 28ft 7ft tall with an attached shed 10ft by 6ft 7ft tall
