Best Bird To Show

I breed and show LF cochins and I'm looking for a smaller breed to use in showmanship does anyone have any suggestions

Bantams are wildly popular with junior exhibitors. Most breeds are now bred and shown as bantams.

Chose a breed that you enjoy -- either the look, or the behavior, or some other feature. LF Cochins are quite large, and you want something "smaller." Do you mean something just a little smaller, or a whole lot smaller? Most LF breeds would fit this description, and all bantams, so that doesn't narrow the field very much.

Also, you need to consider what birds are available to you, and what mentors are available to you. There's little enjoyment in choosing a rare breed where there are only poor specimens available, and there are no mentors around to help you improve your stock.
