Best Book to get to entice someone into chickens

When we had our family over for Thanksgiving, My aunt was very intrigued by our chickens. I was thinking I should get her a raising chicken book for Christmas to try and prod her along. Whats the best book for chicken dreamers who live in the city ( san rafael, ca)?

Over the summer someone gave me Hen Keeping by Jane Eastoe. Its printed by the National Trust in the UK, but it is a fun read with LOTS of information. Its worth trying to get a hold of it even if it means ordering from the UK. Here's a link:

I liked Barnyard in your backyard, it covers chickens very well and several other barnyard animals.

It really depends on the person, to be honest.

I personally am a details person, so when my friend handed me the most technical and in-depth book they could find, I was in love. Vague books with lots of pictures are frustrating to me. But then again, another person's imagination could be stoked by a picture-book!

The Tractor Supply store and Lowe's hardware had a couple of nice books with lots of information and lots of beautiful pictures!
