I'd try a craigslist add and see if you get any nibbles for the breed you want to source locally. One breeder near me even sells fertile eggs there maybe you'll get lucky there.

We use Kijiji up here. I've tried, but most breeders don't have chicks up here. I may have found one or two. I did find some EExBrahma chicks available at the end of the month, but I'm wondering if their offspring (with an Ameraucana father) would produce colored eggs.
