All of them, hard to pick.
I had 2 pekins when I was little. I remember them being friendly.
As an adult, I've had runners, welsh harlequins, buff and a mallard
Runners are comical in just about everything they do. Plus they are upright and look like walking bowling pins - how can that not make you smile
WH - she's a big laid back girl. I wish I had more hands on time with that batch of little ones as she is friendly, but not super trusting.
My mallard and buff were raised together. They were friendly little ones and even as they grew they were friendly with me, but very much a pair. They'd hang near me, but not so close so I could scoop them up, though it was easy to catch the buff and he was ok with it.
Then the buff disappeared and the mallard would try to hang with the big girls, but she was missing the buff. I was sitting on the deck one day and she just walked up the stairs and walked over, snuggled up and laid her head on my lap for a while. Then she walked off and appear much less sad after that. She flew and it was then end of her as she flew out of the pen into the pond and was taken by the fox. But watching her fly was just great.
I've liked them all.
For my liking though, the mallard was just too noisy. Girl had a loud mouth and used it a lot!
My runners can be noisy, but only when something is bugging them or they are hungry and their food dish is empty.
The WH is just pretty and nice to watch
