Definetly Silkies!!!!!!!! they are very cute, and they dont eat much either. Im not sure how good they would be with ducks though. Also americauna roosters are very cute!

I think you should consider California Whites.
They are not too pretty when they are chicks but are a pretty white with a little black in some of them when they are older.
They are by far our most favorite breed and our best egg layers.
They lay white eggs.
I know Cackle Hachery sells them and a few other places.

I think the best "non-breed" is the easter eggers for vigor and laying ability, plus they're not that bad to look at.

I love the variety of colors in my EE's. But my Speckled Sussex are my favorite. I have a roo and pullet and both are very mild and have sweet calm dispositions. My Buff Orpingtons are also really pretty great. I am hoping to increase the amount of SS I have next year. I love their coloring too, my roo is so handsome - one of my favorites out of the flock. He is in a pen with 17 pullets and a bantam minorca roo, they get along really well.
