best brooder light?

I was hoping to get the best, economical brooder light. Can ya'll give me some advice? I heard the red ones are good for them, that they sleep better.

I have only ever used the red ones, personally. I read on the forums here that it supposedly reduces pecking, so I went with it. No problems for me!

Walmart in the automotive department has brooder lamps next to the shop lamps and the bulbs in the hardware dept or Tractor Supply Co.
