So out of all the pheasant species how would you rate broodiness on scale 1 to 10? I am interested in setting up some pheasant pens but I am not a fan of incubating and such. I have a nice area to build a flight pen for breeders. Its a damp area with tall grass, winged sumac and blackberry brambles. Would be fun to fix some flight cages over and let them do their thing. I enjoy building habitats and letting animals be themselves as much as possible. with of course security from predators and ample food.

All my goldens and lady amhearst hens will always set and raise babies themselves. There is really alot of species so I guess it really depends what you want . These are beautiful and very easy to keep species .

I like all pheasants species. I had raised pigeons for years but I just seemed to always be dissappointed in what I got and the hawks. I enjoy sitting in a chair and watching birds be birds. I take it that the ringnecks are the more wild of the bunch?
