Mine are a couple generations removed from hatchery stock and the barring is improving a great deal. They are some of my very best layers. Even my two oldest ones, who came from Ideal and are over 3 years old, are still laying a few eggs a week, though Lexie is finishing her molt and I'm not sure if she's laying since my DH is the one gathering eggs while I recover. She's always been too small for a standard BR, but an excellent layer of jumbo eggs.
