What did you do in the garden today?

Ah, but craving sweets is craving carbs, which is energy booting, empty calories and short term, but still a boost. Sometimes sweets cravings is also a craving for salt (odd I know) or citric acid (sour). So I try to find it in another source.
What gets me is when I think I'm just craving carbs, but its only specific. Like just bread, or only bananas. I usually realize after a while there was something in there I needed, but it takes me forever! I try to remember to go through my lists of other healtheir foods with similar nutrition. Like beans, nuts or fish often solves the bread one. But it's hard to remember sometimes!
 
I found buying trucitrus lemon packs was cheaper for me than buying lemons. I buy a box of 500 packets at a time. They come every 3 months automatically. LOL
Ahhh, I'm freeze drying lemons from my lemon tree but I get what you are saying... I also make my own zest and freeze dry lemon juice into powder so I can easily add it to stuff too....
 
but also been craving bananas.
Potassium and B6 - at this time of year your body may be craving bananas to boost immunity, energy and help keep you healthy during the still long cold days.
Now it's February, I'll start craving horseradish.
Glucosinates and a host of other goodies that help your body fight off all the viruses (cold, flu, etc) that love hanging about this time of year.
