Maybe I’ll try it in cream cheese hahah he loves cream cheese. He’s way too smart though and pretends to swallow it then spits it when I let go of muzzle lol he spat it like 3-4 times even with it shoved far back before I got it. And he also clamps his mouth and makes it hard for me to open it lol maybe I need to actually put them in the throat though so they can’t come back up haha

I always stuff pills as far back as I can, than rub the throat afterwards. Another technique of you are using peanut butter is to rub just a bit on their nose after you shove the peanut butter covered pills in their mouths. They focus on getting the peanut butter out of their nostrils and forget about the pills.

When I use the cream cheese I gotta make sure the pill if fully covered so they can't smell it. Dogs are so funny.

I use doxycycline a lot around here because it's the go to med for tick diseases. I think any antibiotics they give for kennel cough are just because. Kennel cough is a virus/bacteria and has to run it's course for the most part, but sometimes they prescribe an antibiotic to help.

Naw, I've done it. I think it can mess with the absorption. When I took it they said no dairy 2 hours before or after. I'm sorry I steered you wrong. He will be okay. Back to fighting with him.
It’s okay, I should have mentioned what he was on hahah and it’s useful for other pills! I do have peanut butter I could try but he doesn’t really like peanut butter. But I might try it anyway lol I did also get hamburger I could maybe put it in 😂
