Okay thanks, I have never had a camera so this will be my first. Do you recommend it as a starter?I use Canon because that’s what I started with ages ago. Once you start with a brand and start collecting lenses, you’re pretty set with that for life! I find canon is a bit more consumer/user friendly than Nikon but Nikon has some more advanced features and maybe even has better glass on the really advanced lenses. On an entry level SLR, I like Canon for ease of menu and functions.
if a camera that switches lenses is more than you’re looking for, there are various digital
Cameras that are close to more of a point and shoot camera yet that have manual override to everything. This means you can adjust the shutter speed and aperture overriding the automatic functions of the camera.
I would recommend an SLR. Something along the lines of a canon rebel. You can always use used lenses to swap out lenses in the future and find them for cheaper than outright new.Okay thanks, I have never had a camera so this will be my first. Do you recommend it as a starter?
OK thanks so much for your help!I would recommend an SLR. Something along the lines of a canon rebel. You can always use used lenses to swap out lenses in the future and find them for cheaper than outright new.
the rebel is a great starter camera and like I mentioned if you have ANY interest in pursuing photography as a hobby long term, I would buy an SLR camera (this is the type of camera with a lens that you can replace) from either Canon or Nikon.
you would eventually want to upgrade the “body” of the camera, but every lens you buy will always work with your future upgrades camera body.
