best cheap auto waterer?

I keep seeing the nipple systems, they seem a lot like hampster water bottles. Would those work for chickens? I want to be able to leave on vacation and not have to worry about if they still have clean water after a few days.

I bought these for my girls rabbits and tried them on the chickens. That is all I use now. They work great and when we go out of town I don't worry about the animals. Well, not to much anyway.

How do you teach your chicks to use something like that? I want some sort of fresh water system.
