Best Chicken Breed

Although they seem to get a bad rap... I really love my rhode island red! It is friendly, follows me around the yard and will lay great eggs. I'm also partial to Buff Orpingtons for great layers and all around nice bird!

I'm getting some RIR crosses.

I like my Leghorns they are calm, friendly, handle heat and cold well, they never once have pecked my kids and lay nice big eggs without blood spots. :cd

What ever you choose, handle the birds often if you want tame birds.
