Best dual purpose breed that goes broody?

What are the best dual purpose breeds that go broody? We also want them to be calm and pretty good eggs layers? Thanks!

My barred rock went broody and hatched me out a nice bunch of babies. I like her better than the hatchery buff orps I've had.

Partridge Plymouth rocks are the best bid duel breed for going broody hands down. They can challange Slikies easliy. It was never bred out of them. This is not because I am raising them I have this from many owners before i bought them. It is one reason I bought them.

I have a group of Buckeye hens and 100% of them have went broody & they are difficult to bust. The broody group has some of that ALBC (1/2) strain in them.
