best egg layers

Only 12 eggs? Yes, I agree, there's either an Easter Bunny or a broody on the loose.

It, of course, depends on the breed and location and lighting and nutrition and all that stuff. My Cochin lays every other day and my GSL's lay every day. So I get 4-5 eggs every day from 7 chickens. But only 5 are laying- the EE's are only 3 months old.
