What seem to be the best brown egg laying chickens?

cinnamon queens or as they are called red star or gold star or even red sex link they are a hybrid brown egg layer that lays 280 to aprox 320 eggs per year i have 25 hens and 2 roosters

depends on who your talking to and what hatchery they are coming from and what the parent chickens are but pretty much the same chicken

nope just an egg chicken you need dual purpose birds and the black sex link is a dual purpose bird and lay decent too

the black sex link is a mix of rhode island red rooster and a Dominique hen

Hello and Welcome To BYC! X2, the best brown egg layers so far as numbers go are the various commercial Red Sex Links. The most popular duel purpose bird is probably the Rhode Island Red.
