Best feed for your money

I have a flock of thirty layer chickens of varying breeds and i was wondering what the best food to give them would be. I have been feeding them Kent extra egg and i am very happy with the results but the price has just gone up and I cannot keep up. I sell the eggs but all that i make is gone right to feed and now i am losing money. What types of feed could i use that still have the good amount of nutrients and is cheaper than what i am paying now. I am also wondering if there is a cheaper food that would not have as much calcium and i would make up for that with adding oyster shells to make up for it. If anyone has any suggestions that would help alot.

Fodder is a great way to take a little whole grain and make a lot of very high protein green feed. The wheat Fodder I grow costs about $40 a TON.
