I am on the search for a good Organic chicken feed that isn't super expensive (although I am willing to pay for what I get). For context, I have 11 hens (6 are pullets) and two of the adults are a high production breed (ISA Brown, 4yo); the rest are a variety of heritage breeds (2yo and younger). They stay in a large run with lots of grass, bushes, and a compost. All of the hens will be used for egg's, not meat. I know Kalmbach is a good food, but is that considered expensive for chicken feed, or is it normal for a good quality food?
What are the options on the market? Organic is ideal. I want to avoid corn and soy.
